The system includes interfaces to other networks, remote maintenance capabilities, and different tools such as for example the export of the prop pressures with a time stamp for the early recognition of rock bursts. The visualization system is of modular construction and gives the user ample room for parameter programming and configuration. It is thus possible, for example, to convert the system from a shearer face to a plow face without the need to make software changes.
